The club is open on Wednesdays after school from 3.15 to 4.30 in F21. Everyone is welcome to attend but you must get a form which you can download from here for your parents/guardians to fill out before you can participate in any of the modelling or painting activities. Bring your completed form with you the first time you attend.

Today we played a couple of games using a variant of the Crossfire rules set in Mogadishu. It seemed to go well with the Somalis winning both times.

Spring holidays and we went to Salute 08. You can read about it by clicking on the picture below. I hope to have Pawel, Eduardo and Ali write a little about what they did later.
This week, in response to demands, we all had a go at building some houses out of cork tile. I drew up plans for a simple little cottage that utilises all the different materials that I commonly use and we set to. We were limited to only one cutting mat (more are on the way) but progress was good and they'll all be finished next time we meet after half term. Plenty of time to catch up if you want to join in. The plan for the house is here:

After two sessions Eduardo, Ethan, Pawel and Ali had all completed buildings. Next week we paint them.
Here are the painted houses:
Left to right: Pawel's, Eduardo's, Nathan's and Ali's. Ethan and Ali had a game of the Natives are Restless Tonight that resulted in a win for the defenders. Everyone had a good time. Next week we're having a building workshop so come along if you want to have a go.
Lots of painting for the last few weeks.
Here is Ali putting the finishing touches to some Pardulon scenery we were kindly sent by them.
And this is Eduardo painting up his modern Portuguese (actually modern Italians modified) ready for a game of Ambush Alley. We tried a new set of fantasy skirmish rules today called Song of Blades and Heroes which is published by Ganesha Games. You can download a free copy of the preview rules here:
Here you can see some angry villagers attempting to rid their fields of some marauding carnivorous rabbits. The rules proved popular so it looks like we'll be playing more of this in the future.
We've played a couple of World War Two games recently using the Crossfire rules. The details are here.
Pawel made his first WWII building from MDF. Hopefully he'll have it painted by next term so we can use it in a game.
Ethan is building a Cyberpunk fast food restaurant. Full plans and details are here.
