About Me

I am a Pulp gamer and I love modern Pulp as well.

Meaning I like the sub-genres of: Aviation/War, Adventure/Exploration, Spy/Espionage, Crimefighting/Superhero and some Detective stuff ; I do not really care for Horror/Weird Menace (including Cthulhu), western, soft porn, and the rest of the borderlands of old Pulp.

Granted, Science Fiction, to me, is not pulp any more at all; Clarke, Heinlein, Azimov and Bradbury. to only name four of its pioneers, took the genre where it needed to head out to and others like Drake, Cole, Bunch, Sherman and Cragg, to name only five exxcellent writers, have found a good home for the genre.

The same with Fantasy; where Tolkein and Lewis, to name only two trailblazers of the sub-genre, set it off on its journey, while Eddings, Anthony, McKinley, Roberson and Stasheff, to name only five excellent authors, have found new places for Fantasy to explore and travel in.

This all has been done without the need of being wacked out or terribly shocking to folks today.

Currently, I am mostly playing within the Crimson Skies universe.

Granted, I am spending as much time on the ground as in the air with this universe, but it is fun anyway.

I hoping that a company steps up and does the game again; MS owns the IP, but has no interest in being involved with a table-top game.

The new game would not necessarily have to be like FASA's game. but I would like it to be more involved in general than WizKids' one.

I would like the level of detail BattleTech had up to its third edition, but with the capacity to play as simply those rules allowed for as well.

Plus, I would like the air-based game to be standardized as far as scale using the train gauge system - either N (10mm) or Z (7mm) gauge.

I would also like a ground-based game to be made standardized at ~30mm (no smaller, but maybe bigger) which would be just a bit smaller than O-gauge train terrain (37mm), but this would still work well together.

This size would also work well with all of the 1:48 scale models out there since they would be ~33mm wargame scale.

Beyond that, I am retired due to medical reasons.

I have been married for more than two decades to an artist.

We have two sons - one teenager and one tweener.

Anything more?

Ask, and I will add it.
