Many thanks to paul for allowing this section:D.
Thought i should start by explaining why i like "Post Apoc" settings/genre,unlike anicents/napoleonics/WW2 where the figures and backgrounds are already "set in stone" with very little room for change. While not a bad thing at all, this for me is to limiting.
I like the fact that post apoc is so unlimited, anything can be put in and used. Its a mass melting pot of ideas and thoughts which is brilliant!!.No one can say what you should have or not have in your setting. The fact that you can write up your background/histories/stories is also brilliant:D.Again theres a freedom i do not find in other genres, its also good that theres so much out in books/games/films.
My project/s for next year are creating a back ground for my "Post apoc" setting/reasons/designs for the world coming to such a tragic end, what kind of mutants/creatures/horrors/surviours exist in this bleak landscape. I will be doing this in 28mm plastics and creating conversions from all sorts of plastic sets and using anything i find interesting, plus using cardboard/string/glue. There is certainly enough information and inspiration to keep me going for years,so for me the sky is bright, because of the amount of radiation making it glow ha ha ha ha.
Cheers all Tony:D | |

I've been collecting ideas for a Thunder Road wastelands vehicle combat game for a year or so. I may get around to doing it in 2011 depending on what else interests me in the meantime.

Why i said 28mm plastics i am unsure ??,i did mean to say 1/72 figures mainly ceasar moderns/fantasy ranges.Theres enough for conversions and modelling,in their ranges plus other 1/72 figures/vehicles.
Cheers Tony:) | |

My layout for "POST-APOC" was to be my own creation, rather than use any one elses ideas. As stated below these ideas were taken from the "Errie horror forum" which i have not been to in along time, but these were my thoughts. "I like "Dark future" scenarios,"Special forces" investigating the ruins of failed experiments.Areas soaked in radioactive waste, where "creatures" have appeared. The ruins of villages and cities, where aliens/mutants/undead roam freely.Dark deformed forests under a silver moon, glowing reactor cores pulsing gently. The inhabtants of villages shrouded in mystery."Hell gates" opening up,allowing monsters/demons to enter our realm. As in "Hellgate london".Gangs of mercenaries/mutants attacking and raiding local cities and villages, engaging in firefights with troopers and othe gangs.Basically "combat zone chronicles" i suppose. My main thoughts come from "F.E.A.R,Borderlands,Resident Evil,Fallout 3,Dark sector,Metro 2044,Half life 1/2,Singularity,Prototype,Resistance 1/2".Plus coming up is "Rage" for the 360/PS3 i think what i am wanting to do is to continue my gaming off the consoles. And to be honest the "Mutant chronicles" books i bought are enough anyway, More thoughts and ideas are coming together:)cheers all tony:D

Sorry to be so lazy and not creating anything:(. This is to be changed and i will get myself motivated into creating my "POST APOC" setting and start getting my myself creating and building. I do feel i am letting you all down, and i should not be so lazy and i just talk and create nothing.Because theres nothing keeping me back and i should be creating and modelling all the time.So from this year i will be changing my outlook and getting on with something:). With all the PS3/XBOX games i play, there enough stuff for inspiration and ideas. Cheers tony:)
