Just thought i would ask what makes "you" happy and why you buy miniatures??.For me its when i finish work and walk into town,i will call into the "Antics" we have and pick up either paints/figures or vehicles. For me this can make my day and everything seems right with the world. Its even better when i get a game for my 360/PS3 and a couple of boxes of figures, that i know makes me happy:), i have no regrets about getting rid of my metals/resin vehicles.Because the price of metals is laughable!! and postage costs are beyond the realm of understanding!!.So being able to walk into town and pick what i need off the shelf is brilliant!!:).So that to me is what makes happy, having also having come to an end of "buying books that just get piled up and never looked at!!.All i have in the book department are my Mutant chronicles wargamming/role playing books, because for me theres enough in them to keep me happy for years!!.
So with gaming on the 360/PS3,model making, and being happy at work and in life.Theres not much else to say,i think whats started all this is me having to draw a line under the "past".Which through this week has proved so benefical to me mentally, that i have been superbly :)happy:).
Cheers your mate as always tony:)

Hobbywise what makes me happy is finishing a group of buildings. Making enough scenery to create a setting, ie enough houses for a village or all the components to a farm, lets me think I've added to my imaginary world and allows me to think about the next thing. Finishing a unit of figures is the same, once one lot is done and dusted the plans for the next one can start. Getting stuff done is a reward in itself since the painting and building are a great pleasure. Ths month has been good so far with 74 painted figues and another 32 on the workbench that should be completed today.

In wargames terms - simply put, it is the fact that from a pile of "junk" or an unpainted figure you can create something that takes on a new persona or character, which is quite unique. There is a great amount of satisfaction to be taken from that and each new project generates new avenues to pursue in the future. Figure painting I find is very relaxing, allowing me to chill out - Happy Days!

Hobby happiness for me comes from two things: 1. standing around a table with my gaming buddies laughing like a drain, and 2. when I finish something, a figure conversion, a paint job, or a new set of rules and I know I have done this to the best of my ability. It doesn't matter if it is not as good as someone else's work, I am my only competition.

Riding........happiness is the road! Apart from that; waiting for new models to get delivered, watching the 'lower orders' on Jeremy Kyle and sitting in my room listening to music and painting really slowly!.
