Dear all, Just saw the nice photos of our Blenheim game at Warfare 2009. Me and Martin Holmes produced the game and painted the 4000+ figures. We had planned to try to play the game, but to our delight the public went nostalgia-mad for the game and so we soon gave up the idea of playing, which involves a lot of having your back turned to people in favour of talking to them instead. A refreshing change from most demo gamers who are too busy roling dice to bother speaking to anybody. There were only four of us on Saturday and three on Sunday, so apologies if the movement seemed a little slow. I did say 4000+ figures, that takes some moving. We concentrated on recreating the historical movement of the armies through out the day of the battle. I guess that's why we only got a second place in the competition. If I was worried about that however, I would have found an easier way of doing it. As far as I am concerned it was great to see the fruits of 5 years hard work AND we only had two"that's not the right/flag" anoraks - now that is what I call a result. Shame you did not introduce yourself Matakishi! You have seen some of my Doc Who photos on the DWMG page if I remember rightly. I have always kept an eye on your site. | |

It was a great spectacle and a tribute to your and Martin's hard work.
I don't like introducing myself to be honest, I feel it's like I'm trying to make out I'm someone important or something and that doesn't sit well with my inherent British reserve. If i had a question I'd have asked it though.
Lol at the anoraks | |
